   It is still hard for me to believe that a dream that started at a very young age is still in progress. I gained my love of writing and language primarily from my early experiences in a Christian church,  which surprisingly led to me leave my native Los Angeles at the tender age of seventeen for Columbia University in New York City. All of this is to say that working in an Investment Bank was not really what people had in mind for me when I was growing up!

   While my early work was primarliy theatrical and dealt with the African-American experience, my later work is more genre based around thrillers and suspense and does not particularly relate to my early subject matter at all. It is a funny curiosity of experience that I find that I am able to write more about myself by writing about people who are nothing like me! In essence, I'm forced to make everything up, which is really how fiction should be.
